This guide explains the technical and commercial points buyers should verify when searching for a MAP fertilizer supplier.
Specify the correct MAP grade
Monoammonium phosphate is sold in granular grades for direct application and blending, and in highly soluble grades for fertigation or industrial use. The buyer must identify the intended application because the solubility, physical form and price differ.
For granular MAP 11-52-0, verify nitrogen, available and water-soluble phosphate, moisture and granule distribution. For fertigation grade, request limits for insoluble matter and relevant impurities.
- Granular or water-soluble grade
- 11% nitrogen and 52% P₂O₅ basis
- Water-soluble phosphate or full solubility
- Particle size or powder characteristics
- Application-system requirements
Agronomic and handling fit
MAP creates an initially acidic zone around the dissolving granule and has a relatively low ammonia-loss risk near seed compared with some alternatives. Placement rates still require agronomic guidance based on crop and soil.
Keep MAP dry and confirm compatible particle sizing when it will enter a physical blend. Packaging should preserve product quality through the expected route and storage period.
Request a MAP commercial offer
Tell the MAP fertilizer supplier the grade, tonnes, bag format, use, destination and shipment window. Attach tender or regulatory specifications where applicable.
MC INTERNATIONAL supplies MAP for bulk agricultural programs. Review the product page for typical specifications and contact the export team for current availability.
Review the relevant product or request terms
Specifications, availability and freight are confirmed for each commercial enquiry. Include your required quantity, packaging, destination port and shipment period.

Is granular MAP the same as water-soluble MAP?
No. Both may use the MAP name, but water-soluble grades have stricter dissolution and impurity requirements for fertigation or technical applications.
Is MAP suitable for physical NPK blends?
Granular MAP is commonly blended when its particle size and physical properties match the other components.
